One of President Trump’s unheralded accomplishments is that he has given the American people moral clarity around our foreign policy. The president’s decision-making on foreign affairs reflects a comprehensive grasp of the most profound threats to our 250-year-old Republic.
Arrayed against us is the totalitarian model of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which seeks dominion over the world order. However, President Trump’s creative statesmanship and unpredictability have caused China’s dictator Xi Jinping to delay any spectacularly aggressive moves in the Asian Pacific, presumably until after this administration. The president’s ability to energize European NATO members into taking more responsibility for their own defense, combined with his work to strengthen our allies in Asia, has certainly given Xi cause for caution.
