Trump slams Tucker Carlson over Iran threat amid Middle East conflict

President Donald Trump slammed former Fox News host Tucker Carlson in an interview Tuesday, claiming the former anchor has a “low IQ” after Carlson criticized the president for his recent threats against Iran.“Tucker’s a low IQ person that has absolutely no idea what’s going on,” Trump said during an interview with the New York Post. “He calls me all the time; I don’t respond to his calls. I don’t deal with him. I like dealing with smart people, not fools.”
Carlson claimed Trump’s Truth Social post from Sunday was “vile on every level,” after Trump warned Iran that if it did not meet his Tuesday deadline for a ceasefire or reopen the Strait of Hormuz, then Iranians would be “living in hell.”
Carlson also claimed Trump was attempting to play “God” and accused him of mocking the most prevalent religion in Iran when he wrote “praise be to Allah” in his Sunday post.
“No decent person mocks other people’s religions,” Carlson said in his podcast. “You may have a problem with the theology. Presumably, you do if it’s not your religion, and you can explain what that is. But to mock other people’s faith is to mock the idea of faith itself.”
The comments come as Trump reiterated his threat against Iran Tuesday ahead of the deadline, warning Iran that a “whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” if Iran does not agree to reopen the strait before 8 p.m. Eastern.
