President Trump on Friday warned Iran: “Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today,” amid the country’s attacks on Gulf Arab states.”We are totally destroying the terrorist regime of Iran, militarily, economically, and otherwise, yet, if you read the Failing New York Times, you would incorrectly think that we are not winning,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force is no longer, missiles, drones and everything else are being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped from the face of the earth.
“We have unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time – Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today. They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
Trump’s remarks came the day after Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei vowed to “not refrain from avenging the blood” of Iranians killed, and warned Gulf Arab states to close U.S. bases, saying that U.S. protection was “nothing more than a lie.”
Saudi Arabia said Friday that it had downed nearly 50 drones sent in multiple waves, The Associated Press reported.
Two people were killed when two drones crashed in an industrial area in the region of Sohar, Oman, according to the Oman News Agency.
Sirens in Bahrain warned of incoming fire, and authorities said a blaze in an industrial area in Dubai was sparked by debris from an interception.
Also, authorities said that a building at the Dubai International Financial Center sustained damage when hit with debris from a “successful interception.”
