TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran’s foreign minister said early Wednesday that ships would be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf, over the next two weeks under coordination from Iran’s military.
It wasn’t exactly clear whether that meant Iran would loose its chokehold on the waterway crucial to global energy supplies.
