Schumer, Senate Dems to review Epstein files next week

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday confirmed that he and several Senate Democrats would review the Epstein files in person.The Department of Justice and FBI have faced considerable blowback for their handling of the Epstein files, including the redaction decisions involved in the public release of documents. The Epstein issue has attracted attention from both sides of the political aisle, with House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer also pursuing a probe.
Schumer, for his part, expressed interest in the decision-making process.
“We want to know who was involved in the decision to hide the truth,” he said, according to CNN. “And a warning to the Trump cronies working on this: we will know if you are destroying documents and evidence. You will not outrun the law. You will not outrun the truth.”
Schumer’s announcement came the same day that Comer deposed former first lady Hillary Clinton over possible ties to Epstein.
