Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino is set to make a decision about his future with the bureau over the next several weeks, according to two sources who are close to the situation have revealed. Rumors have been swirling that Bongino’s office at the FBI is currently empty, however, sources say this isn’t true, going on to say that his leaving the bureau in the near future is a real possibility.
One source has confirmed that Bongino has yet to make any final decisions concerning his future. The former Fox News contributor’s time at the FBI has come under heavy criticism over the last several weeks, along with his boss, FBI Director Kash Patel. Earlier in December, a report from active-duty and retired bureau personnel have stated that under current leadership, the FBI lacks direction.
