Rep. Yassamin Ansari, D-Ariz., this week expressed skepticism of recent testimony from Les Wexner, who tesitified before a House panel about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.Wexner testified before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday. He was one of six men whom Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., identified on the House floor as featuring prominently in the Epstein files. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem was another of the group, while the remaining four turned out to be members of police lineup.
Speaking on CNN after the testimony, Ansari said that it was “hard to believe him,” in reference to Wexner’s testimony. The founder of Bath & Body Works and ex-Victoria’s Secret CEO expressed regret for his past relationship with Epstein and called him a “master manipulator.”
Ansari further stated that she found it “hard to trust” Wexner after he stated that he did not remember why he had ignored warnings about trusting Epstein with significant money.
