Senate Pro-Life Caucus Chair Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) has reintroduced legislation aimed at rolling back Joe Biden’s Food and Drug Administration policies that expanded access to chemical abortion drugs, a move pro-life advocates say will protect unborn children and restore essential safety safeguards for women.
The Support and Value Expectant (SAVE) Moms and Babies Act seeks to reinstate longstanding in-person requirements for dispensing abortion pills such as mifepristone, prohibiting mail-order distribution and telemedicine prescriptions that became more permissive under prior federal changes.
