A new poll of likely 2026 voters in Texas shows Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton leading Sen. John Cornyn in the race for U.S. Senate and James Talarico, a Democratic Texas state legislator, leading both GOP candidates.The Impact Research poll shows Paxton leading Cornyn 53% to 37%.
The results show Cornyn trailing Talarico by 2 points (43%-41%) and Paxton behind him by 1 (44%-43%).
President Trump has not made an endorsement yet as the runoff between Paxton and Cornyn approaches.
