    Elana Meyers Taylor won gold in the U.S. bobsledding Winter Olympics, but her motivation went far beyond medals and personal achievement. Her true drive comes from her two sons, both of whom have disabilities. Her son Nico has Down syndrome and is deaf, while her son Noah is deaf as well.

    In her post-win interview, Meyers Taylor shared the profound impact her sons have had on her life and career. “It meant everything, especially having Nico and Noah there and knowing how much they sacrificed,” she told NBC. She emphasized that her boys had been with her through every step of the journey, traveling across Europe since November 1.
