Washington state faces dangerous flooding after days of heavy rain. Tens of thousands of residents have been forced to leave their homes, with the National Guard stepping in to assist. Officials warn that more evacuations could follow as rivers reach record levels and additional communities face the threat of rising waters.
The Justice Department has filed lawsuits against Colorado, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Nevada for failing to provide voter-registration records requested by federal officials. So far, the department has filed 18 such suits against states for failing to comply with federal law. A separate lawsuit was also filed against Fulton County, Georgia, over records related to the 2020 election….
