They accuse the officials of enabling rampant fraud, allowing criminals to steal approximately $9 billion from 14 state benefit programs intended for child nutrition, autism support, and housing assistance. The filing follows federal actions, including Vice President J.D. Vance freezing $259 million in Medicare payments to Minnesota amid a fraud probe, and a nationwide moratorium on certain Medicare enrollments.
