Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss told an audience Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference’s annual gathering in Texas that England will host a CPAC Great Britain event in London this summer. The gathering of British conservatives will run from July 16-18 and tickets for the conference are expected to go on sale next week.
Truss claimed that Great Britain needs a “Trump-style revolution” because most people in the United Kingdom do not agree with the country’s current government, according to the Mirror.
“They want to have a family, they want a nice car, they want to go on a nice holiday, they want to live in a Christian country,” she said. “They don’t want their country taken over.”
British journalist Joseph Robertson also confirmed the event in a post on X, stating that he will be serving as a director of the upcoming conference, alongside a “brilliant team.”
“Britain’s broken,” Robertson said. “The establishment surrendered our streets, sovereignty, & future. Time to rebuild.”
Details on the venue and speakers for the conference were not immediately clear.
