Judge Issues Camera Ruling During Hearing In Charlie Kirk Murder Case

Well, buckle up—because one of the most explosive trials in recent memory is about to hit your screen, literally. Cameras will be allowed inside the Utah courtroom where 22-year-old Tyler Robinson is standing trial for the alleged assassination of conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk. That’s right: a judge just gave the green light for the American public to witness, in real time, what is shaping up to be a legal and cultural earthquake. And if you think this case is just about one man and one crime, think again.
Utah Judge Tony Graf, Jr. ruled Thursday that the trial will be open to the cameras—though they’ll be kept at a respectful distance from the defense table. Seems like a fair compromise, especially considering the national outrage and grief that erupted after Kirk’s alleged murder. For those who remember where they were the day it happened, the idea of a hidden courtroom would’ve been just one more insult to justice.

The judge in Tyler Robinson’s case just ruled cameras will be allowed in the courtroom stating that doing otherwise would be “disproportionate for this hearing.” The people will get to see justice in action. pic.twitter.com/hMhOWkLPkA
