The photo featured the Biden family with the former president barely visible and his troubled son Hunter Biden took center stage. In the photo, which is receiving massive backlash across the internet, the Bidens pose in front of a fully decorated Christmas tree, with the patriarch stuck behind his wife, Jill, whose head is partially obstructing her husband’s face.
In the caption for the picture included in the post, Biden wrote, “Wishing you a peaceful and joyful Christmas Eve filled with joy.” The post offered no explanation for the strange framing of the photograph. Various media outlets reached out to representatives of the Biden family, but as of this writing, have not received any response to questions concerning the post.
