Immigration and Customs Enforcement has rejected a claim by Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., that her son was stopped by federal agents and pressed to prove his U.S. citizenship while running an errand in Minnesota over the weekend, saying the incident never occurred and that the agency has no record of such an encounter, as reported by Fox News.
Omar told CBS’ Twin Cities affiliate that her son was subjected to what she described as a traffic stop-type interaction involving ICE personnel after stopping at a Target store on Saturday.
