Emmy-award-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland, known for his portrayal of counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer in “24,” was arrested early Monday morning over an alleged altercation with a ride-share driver in Hollywood. The actor was arrested on suspicion of making felony criminal threats after the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a radio call about an assault involving a ride-share driver near Sunset Boulevard, NBC Los Angeles reported Tuesday.
The suspect was later identified as Sutherland, who is accused of assaulting the driver after entering the vehicle. No injuries have been reported.
Sutherland, also known for starring in the television series “Designated Survivor,” has since been released on a $50,000 bail and is expected to appear in court at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles on Feb. 2.
