Former Fort Bragg contractor charged under Espionage Act for leaking Delta Force secrets

Courtney Williams, a former Fort Bragg contractor, was arrested for leaking classified Delta Force details to a journalist, violating her TS/SCI clearance and NDA.
Williams allegedly exchanged 180+ messages and 10+ hours of calls with reporter Seth Harp, who used her disclosures in a Politico article and book (The Fort Bragg Cartel).
Williams claimed workplace discrimination and retaliation, raising questions about whether her actions were whistleblowing or a deliberate security violation.
The FBI condemned her leaks as reckless, emphasizing that classified military tactics must remain protected to safeguard American lives.
Similar to Reality Winner’s 2017 leak case, Williams’ prosecution highlights tensions between government secrecy and whistleblower transparency—with severe Espionage Act penalties looming.
