British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Jan. 19 that he does not believe U.S. President Donald Trump is genuinely considering military action on Greenland. He suggests that the UK would not retaliate against U.S.tariffs. German and French finance ministers said that European powers would not be blackmailed and that there would be a clear and united response to the U.S. tariff threat.
At least 39 people died after a high-speed train derailed and smashed into an oncoming train in southern Spain on Jan. 18, Spanish transport minister Óscar Puente said.
