Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced on “Sunday Morning Futures” that DHS is deploying hundreds more federal agents to Minneapolis over the weekend to protect ICE and Border Patrol amid protests following the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good. Noem warned that violent acts or impeding operations against law enforcement are crimes and that violent left-wing protestors will face harsh consequences.
Additionally, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin defended the surge, noting that over 1,500 serious criminals had been arrested and vowing not to let rioters hinder safety efforts.
