On the night of March 11, 2026, a member of the Cal State Fullerton College Republicans was brutally assaulted by a group of unknown attackers while on the streets of our nation’s capital. The young Republican, Brent Carr, is currently enrolled as a fourth-year student at California State University and is in Washington, D.C. for an internship.
During the horrific attack, Carr sustained a series of injuries, including several cuts to his face that were deep enough to require stitches. When authorities arrived at the scene, they immediately transported Carr to a nearby emergency room. A statement released by the CSU Fullerton College Republicans revealed that he is recovering from the ordeal, which could have ended with the loss of his life.
