Chairman Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., of the House Select Subcommittee on January 6, has subpoenaed T-Mobile for the communications records of Brian Cole Jr., who is alleged to have planted the pipe bombs near the Republican National Committee and Democratic National Committee on January 5, 2021.Loudermilk sent a letter Thursday to Mr. Srini Gopalan, the CEO of T-Mobile, along with an enclosed subpoena.
The letter said “We believe T-Mobile possesses information critical to our oversight and legislative reforms.”
Loudermilk blasted then-FBI Director Chris Wray’s failures in the investigation.
He wrote that the suspect, Brian Cole, Jr., was captured five times on surveillance footage using a cellphone in the areas where the bombs were planted.
The committee is “conducting oversight of law enforcement response and subsequent investigation.”
