Left-wing rock and roll legend Bruce Springsteen took the stage at a recent concert held in Minneapolis that was put together by Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, where he played his new anti-ICE and anti-Trump protest song for the very first time. Before he performed “Streets of Minneapolis,” Springsteen said, “I wrote this song and I recorded it the next day, and I sent it to Tom Morello.”
The singer then said that he told Morello, “I think it’s kinda soapboxy.” Morello replied, “Bruce, nuance is wonderful, but sometimes you have to kick them in the teeth.” The proceeds from the guitarist’s concert were given to the families of anti-ICE agitators Renee Good and Alex Pretti, who were killed after assaulting Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers during protests of operations being carried out to remove dangerous criminal illegals from the streets.
