A frustrated Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday grew defensive when pressed on her handling of the Epstein files, accusing Democrats of hypocrisy for pressing her on the issue and not making similar inquiries of her predecessor under President Joe Biden.”They are talking about Epstein today. This has been around since the Obama administration. This administration released over 3 million pages of documents… and Donald Trump signed that law,” she said. “He is the most transparent president in history and none of them [Democrats] asked Merrick Garland over the last four years one year about Jeffrey Epstein.”
She then pointed to the state of the stock market and suggested that the Democrats were only showing interest in the issue to distract from favorable economic data.
Her remarks came as part of her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.
