Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche slammed a federal judge Monday for issuing a controversial order blocking the Trump administration’s vaccine policies just hours after an appeals court overturned the same judge’s order blocking deportations. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit ruled Monday that the Trump administration can continue to quickly deport migrants to third countries after U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy directed the administration last month to first try to remove migrants to the country they came from and allow them to contest the deportation if their home country is not available.
Murphy on Monday blocked the Trump administration from making a series of changes to vaccines, including a recent overhaul of the childhood vaccine schedule.
“How many times can Judge Murphy get reversed in one year? The same day he is stayed for repeatedly refusing to follow the law, he issues another activist decision,” Blanche posted on X. “We will keep appealing these lawless decisions, and we will keep winning. The question is, how much embarrassment can this Judge take?”
The Trump administration is expected to appeal Murphy’s order blocking the vaccine schedule and the new members of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
