In a much-needed development, Oklahoma lawmakers introduced bills to bar Sharia law and other foreign legal systems from state courts through constitutional amendments. Laws include HJR 1040 by Rep. Gabe Woolley and Sen. David Bullard. Additionally, these measures would restrict foreign ownership of land and infrastructure.
Additionally, Sen. Michael Bergstrom’s SB 1486 designates the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as domestic terrorist organizations. Sponsors frame measures as protecting constitutional rights, sovereignty, and Judeo-Christian values against foreign influence.
