The New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA) filed a federal lawsuit on Tuesday, May 19, challenging the constitutionality of Illinois’ Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Act. The lawsuit, brought in federal court, alleges that the state law violates the Second and Fourteenth Amendments.
