The U.S. State Department announced a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of Hashim Finyan Rahim al-Saraji, who leads the Iran-aligned militia Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada (KSS).In a statement released through its Rewards for Justice program, the department said al-Saraji, also known as Abu Ala al-Wala’i, heads the group, which it blames for attacks on U.S. personnel and facilities in Iraq and Syria, as well as acts of violence against Iraqi civilians.
Officials said that people who provide useful information may qualify for financial compensation and assistance with relocation.
