Trump: Isreal-Lebanon ceasefire extended another three weeks

A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon has been extended by three weeks, President Donald Trump said in the Oval Office on Thursday. The Israeli and Lebanese ambassadors met with Trump, Secretary of State Mark Rubio and the State Department for another round of talks between the two countries, and the purpose of the meeting was primarily to discuss extending the ceasefire, Axios reported. 
Trump had announced a 10-day ceasefire between the two countries last week, which helps the U.S. in its separate talks with Iran. Iran has said the attacks in Lebanon constitute a violation of its ceasefire agreement with the U.S. 
Israel and the U.S. have said the ceasefire agreement between the U.S. and Iran doesn’t cover Israel’s attacks on the Iran-backed Hezbollah.
