Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is reportedly continuing to use a waterfront, military-base house that’s typically been used by the commandant of the Coast Guard. President Donald Trump fired Noem on March 6. She is now Trump’s special envoy for the Shield of the Americas – a Western Hemisphere, a multinational military coalition that he established to target criminal organizations, such as drug cartels, operating in the Americas.
However, her black SUV was spotted in front of the residence earlier this week, and officials with the U.S. Coast Guard have seen it around the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C. where the house is located, according to The Wall Street Journal, which cited unnamed sources.
After President Donald Trump fired Coast Guard Commandant Linda Fagan last year, Noem moved into the house.
Adm. Kevin Lunday, the current commandant, has said he plans to move into the house soon, the Journal reported.
