A resident in the Sunshine State of Florida is none too happy about new restrictions placed on the items that an individual receiving SNAP benefits (food stamps) can purchase, particularly lamenting not being able to purchase sweet treats like ice cream. The woman was interviewed about the new changes by a local media outlet.
“No sodas,” the woman began, adding, “You can’t get your coffee creamer. You can’t even get ice cream. That’s, you know, that’s wrong.” The woman, looking rather dejected, then pondered aloud, “What am I going to do? You know, that’s wrong.” She then pleaded for help to roll back the changes, saying, “Somebody needs to do something about this.”
