President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio appeared on TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2026 list, which was released Wednesday, alongside some of the president’s political critics such as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. The list includes influential people from around the globe who are dominating discussions and the news industry in several categories, including arts and entertainment, politics, religion and foreign affairs.
Trump, Rubio and Mamdani all made the list under the “leaders” category, alongside Pope Leo XIV, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Other world leaders on the list include Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Artists on the magazine’s Top 100 list includes country music star Luke Combs, actress and singer Keke Palmer, “The Pitt” star and Emmy Award winner Noah Wyle and Hollywood star Claire Danes, among others.
White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, Steve Witkoff and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Dan Caine also made the list.
