A tense immigration operation in Evanston, Illinois, exploded into confrontation Wednesday as Mayor Daniel Biss stepped directly into a chaotic street scene, clashing face-to-face with Border Patrol Cmdr. Gregory Bovino, while protesters shouted, whistled, and crowded the roadway.
According to Fox News, the scene unfolded late Wednesday morning, near Green Bay Road and Dodge Avenue, after an 11-vehicle Border Patrol convoy moved in to detain individuals under Title 8 immigration authority.
