Just as the Germans have discovered that former Chancellor Angela Merkel was dead wrong when she assured them in 2015 that “wir schaffen das!” — “we can do this” — meaning “we can successfully integrate nearly a million migrants, almost all of them Muslims, this year, so the tolerant, liberal Dutch, once so open to migrants, find that they too “cannot do this,” that is, cannot live peacefully with the Muslims now living in their midst. These migrants commit more crimes of every sort, from shoplifting and robbery to rape and murder, and turn tranquil villages into places where the indigenous Dutch live in a state of constant anxiety.
