A U.S. refueling jet involved in the U.S.- and Israeli-led conflict in Iran crashed over western Iraq late Thursday, the U.S. military said. At least five crew members were on board the Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker when it went down.
The Pentagon said the crash was “not due to hostile or friendly fire” but was rather caused by a second refueling jet flying nearby. A press statement said rescue operations were ongoing.
