A van drove through a barricade near the White House on Wednesday morning, and the driver was detained, according to authorities.The Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded to Connecticut Ave., NW, and H Street, NW, around 6:37 a.m. EDT for the crash, The Hill news outlet reported. No injuries were reported.
The Secret Service said that the driver was detained and being questioned.
Several streets and entrances around the White House were closed as authorities investigated.
