Democrats in Connecticut are pushing a bill that would require notification to the state’s child welfare agency when kids are pulled out of public school to be homeschooled.
Senate Bill 6 would require school districts to report student withdrawals for homeschooling or other reasons to the Department of Education, prompting a Department of Children and Families check for any open child welfare cases.
