Conservative pundits across the country and the social media sphere are excited about California. The blue bastion of progressive destruction has a chance to elect a Republican for the first time since 2010, or 2006 if you want to count from the last time the state actually elected a Republican (Schwarzenegger, yes, an imperfect Republican, but still a Republican!).
I have commented on Republican chances of winning the governor’s race. They are still possible, since two Republicans dominate the polls for the top two spots in the jungle primary.
