Comer slams Democrats for weaponizing Epstein probe after Bill Clinton ‘exonerates’ Trump

House Oversight Chairman James Comer slammed Democrats Friday for politicizing the committee’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein after former President Bill Clinton said President Donald Trump never indicated a connection to Epstein.The comment comes after Clinton testified in front of the panel where he denied wrongdoing and stated that, had he known of Epstein’s operations, he would have turned him in personally.
Comer highlighted in a statement after the six-hour deposition that Clinton is now the third person to exonerate the president, after former Attorney General William Barr and former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta said there was no evidence linking Trump to Epstein’s criminal activities. 
“Today, former President Clinton exonerated President Trump under questioning from the Democrats,” Comer said. “He stated that he has no information that President Trump did anything wrong, and that President Trump never said anything to Clinton to make him think that he was involved with Epstein. 
“President Clinton is now the third witness who has testified under oath that there is no evidence of President Trump committing wrongdoing,” he continued. “It’s sick how Democrats have weaponized this investigation to put politics above survivors. Ranking Member Robert Garcia and Democrats must cease their partisan witch hunt against President Trump.”
Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell also helped Trump by saying she never saw him in an inappropriate setting.
