The FBI Phoenix field office on Thursday evening shared a description of a person they consider a suspect in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing for nearly two weeks.Guthrie, 84, was reported missing around noon Feb. 1 after she did not show up for virtual church services. She was last seen the previous night, around 9:45 p.m., after having dinner at her daughter Annie Guthrie’s home in Tucson, Arizona.
The bureau confirmed that the man seen in video footage and photos at Nancy Guthrie’s home, which was shared with the public on Tuesday, is a suspect in her disappearance and described him as “approximately 5’9 – 5’10 tall, with an average build.”
“In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack,” the bureau said on X. We hope this updated description will help concentrate the public tips we are receiving.”
The FBI also stated that it was increasing its reward for information that leads to the location of Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance to $100,000 and said it has received over 13,000 tips related to the case so far.
Anyone with tips on Guthrie’s disappearance is encouraged to report it to the bureau at 1-800-CALL-FBI or http://tips.fbi.gov.
