The Department of Homeland Security on Thursday confirmed that the driver of a semi-truck involved in a fatal Indiana crash is a Kyrgyzstani national who entered the U.S. during the Biden administration.Bekzhan Beishekeev allegedly failed to stop for another truck and instead entered oncoming traffic, colliding with a van, Fox News’s Bill Melugin reported. Beishekeev is currently in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
DHS confirmed that Beishekeev used the now-defunct CBP One app to enter the U.S. in 2023 through Arizona.
The Indiana crash led to 4 fatalities and marked the latest in a string of incidents involving foreigners operating commercial vehicles involved in fatal crashes.
