On Tuesday, President Donald Trump criticized the Club for Growth after he was not included on the guest list for the conservative anti-tax organization’s annual donor retreat. In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The Club For NO Growth, comprised of political misfits, globalists, and losers, vehemently opposed me during my 2016 presidential campaign. They claimed I couldn’t win, but I proved them wrong by winning even bigger in 2020, with millions more votes than in 2016. However, the election was rigged and stolen.”
Trump’s statement came in response to Club for Growth President David McIntosh’s recent comments that nominating Trump as the GOP candidate in 2024 would negatively impact the Republican Party’s chances of winning the presidency.
