The Minnesota man fatally shot by federal immigration agents this past weekend, Alex Pretti, scuffled with a group of them about 11 days earlier – kicking out a taillight on their vehicle as they left a mission, new video shows.A video recorded by the media company The News Movement shows the scuffle occurring Jan. 13. A family representative confirmed that Pretti is depicted in the video and that the family knew about the incident after it occurred, according to NBC News.
The incident unfolded as agents were leaving an intersection they had blocked that morning in Minneapolis.
The video shows Pretti yelling at federal immigration agents and kicking the back of the vehicle, breaking the taillight. It’s not clear what happened before the interaction, NBC also reports.
After Pretti, 37, breaks the taillight, agents get out of the vehicle and tackle him before he can break free.
The video appears to show a handgun tucked into the back of Pretti’s waistband. He does not ever appear to reach for it in the clip.
