You Vote: Is Trump showing weakness by trying to ease tensions with Walz and sending Homan to MN?

The office of Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz confirmed Tuesday that the governor had met as planned with White House border czar Tom Homan – now leading the federal government’s immigration enforcement efforts in the state – and said the men agreed to further discuss reducing the number of federal agents in the state.Trump spoke with both Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey on Monday, which he said were productive discussions.
Two Republican senators on Tuesday urged Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign her post in light of recent shootings in Minneapolis where two people were killed by federal immigration officers. 
The Department of Homeland Security has defended the shootings in both cases, claiming that the officers were firing defensive shots because they were concerned about their safety. The most recent shooting took place over the weekend.
North Carolina GOP Sen. Thom Tillis told reporters that he does not have confidence in Noem. Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski also said Noem should not be running the department. 
“Yes, she should go,” Murkowski told the outlet.
The comments also come after multiple news outlets reported that Noem met with Trump for two hours on Monday night, which occurred at her request, and Trump has since denied calls to fire the secretary.
“I think she’s doing a very good job,” Trump said. “The border is totally secure. You know, you forget we had a border that I inherited where millions of people were coming through. Now we have a border where no one is coming through. They come into our country only legally.”
