Billionaire tech guru Elon Musk, who owns social media platform X, donated a whopping $10 million to a super PAC that is connected with MAGA Republican Nate Morris, who is the favorite among candidates to replace retiring Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in the 2026 midterm elections. This marks the biggest donation to a Senate candidate from Musk.
The contribution from the SpaceX CEO was made to Morris through the Fight for Kentucky super PAC. When President Donald Trump was running for his second term in 2024, Musk donated a total of $250 million to his campaign. Morris, 45, declared his intent to run for McConnell’s seat on Donald Trump Jr.’s podcast last June. During the initial announcement about his campaign, Morris highlighted his business credentials along with his status as an outsider, saying he would “finally give this seat back to the people,” should he be elected.
