Avengers actor Mark Ruffalo may have made a costly mistake by spouting lies about President Donald Trump being a “convicted rapist” and a “pedophile,” which has left him open to the possibility of being the target of a defamation lawsuit. Ruffalo recently made an appearance at the Golden Globes, causing no small amount of controversy by sporting a button on his tuxedo jacket that said, “Be Good.”
The button is a reference to Renee Good, the woman who was shot and killed in Minneapolis after she attempted to run over an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent while officers were conducting an operation to remove illegal immigrants. The slogan “Be Good” is seen by many as an encouragement for others to follow in the slain woman’s footsteps and engage in disruption of ICE missions.
