The White House announced Friday that President Donald Trump has established a new international transitional body — the Board of Peace — tasked with overseeing the next phase of governance, reconstruction, and stabilization in the Gaza Strip. Trump will serve as the board’s chairman. The announcement marks a key step in implementing Phase Two of Trump’s comprehensive 20-point plan to end the war between Israel and Hamas and rebuild the war-ravaged territory. In a statement, the White House named several high-profile figures to the board’s executive leadership, including, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Sir Tony Blair, former UK Prime Minister, Jared Kushner, Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law, Marc Rowan, Apollo Global Management CEO, Ajay Banga, World Bank president, Robert Gabriel, a national security adviser and Steve Witkoff, Middle East special envoy.
