A Rasmussen Reports poll released Thursday found the majority of likely American voters are concerned about the influence of radical Islam in the United States. The national survey, conducted last week, found that 77% of respondents admitted they were concerned with the influence of radical Islam, including 41% who said they were very concerned. Only 18% said they were not concerned.
Despite the widespread concern, the survey of 1,145 likely U.S. voters found that just 35% said they would be less likely to support a candidate for office who is Muslim, and half the respondents said it would not make much of a difference.
The phone and online poll was conducted Jan. 7, Jan. 8 and Jan. 11, 2026, with a three percent margin of error.
