The Democrats had a pretty clear message going into the midterms: the Republicans were making life more expensive, they had sold out to Big Tech, they were in league with Epstein, terrorizing women, committing genocide, engaging in corruption and building new ballrooms.
Yes, it was an incoherent slop, but enough of the mud stuck. Especially because what was the Republican counter message?
