Authorities captured a convicted murderer who escaped from a Tennessee prison last month, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced Tuesday. Jacob Morley, 28, was serving a life sentence at Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, a town approximately 90 miles northwest of Memphis, CBS News reported.
He had been convicted of killing a coworker four years ago, according to the Tennessee Department of Correction.
Morley was discovered missing from the prison on Oct. 25, and video from surveillance cameras showed he’d slipped through a prison fence, fleeing the facility in his prison uniform.
Authorities haven’t released further details on how Morley escaped, or the search for him.
